Fantoons Releases New Rush Merchandise - Items to Debut at WonderCon

Fantoons, the creative talents behind the incredibly popular Rush Toons book, as well an numerous other Rush-inspired items, are releasing all-new, official Rush merchandise at this weekend's WonderCon show in Anaheim, California (Booth #2210). Ahead of the show, they've made all of their items available at their Etsy Store . New items include the new baseball-inspired Major Lee Bassball t-shirt, as well as several new limited-edition prints, including this fantastic animated short poster from 'The Early Days of Neil Peart'; the animated short that was only shown in theaters ahead of the Rush documentary Time Stand Still . Rush's Two-Part "Cygnus X-1" Suite to be Released as a 12-inch Vinyl on Record Store Day

Update: We've now confirmed that Hugh Syme has created new artwork for this release. The image to the right appears to reflect some of the artwork. More to come. The 10th Annual Record Store Day event will take place on Saturday, April 22nd. As they have done several times in the past, Rush will have a special release available. According to a posting from The Future Heart , Rush will be releasing the complete Cygnus X-1 Suite, which includes Book I: The Voyage and Book II: Hemispheres). The songs will be released on a 12-inch EP, 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl. It will include an insert, and will have a limited run of just 5,000 copies. There is unconfirmed news that the release will also include new, original artwork by longtime Rush artist Hugh Syme. Neil Peart 1992 Drum Clinic Video Now Online

As a world-renowned drummer, Neil Peart has seemingly 'done it all'. Outside of his drumming and lyrical duties with Rush, Peart has also authored numerous books, produced several drumming-instructional videos, traveled the world by bicycle and motorcycle. He's even been involved in the world of auto racing . However one task that Neil has steered clear of, for the most part, are live instructional drumming sessions - or drum workshops/clinics. To date, Neil has been involved with just two drum clinics throughout his career. The first, known as The Quest for New Drums was highlighted in the May 1987 issue of Modern Drummer magazine. The second took place in 1992 in Irvine Meadows, California during Rush's Roll the Bones tour. According to reports, this clinic was given to Percussion Institute of Technology students. Geddy Lee to Perform with YES During Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Update: It now appears that the story Billboard ran was incorrect. According to Rush's management, Geddy Lee will NOT be performing with Yes during the ceremony. A retraction has been posted by Billboard stating: UPDATE: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation sent a statement to Billboard after this story was published denying that Lee would perform at the ceremony. "Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were only confirmed to do the induction speech for one of their favorite bands and not perform. They, like all the other Yes fans, look forward to honoring them and watching them perform at the induction ceremony on April 7 and the HBO broadcast on April 29." It was January when we first broke the news that both Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson would have the honor of introducing the band Yes during next month's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Since that time, Rush fans have been speculating whether or not Geddy and/or Alex would join the band for a song or two
