Rush: Spirit of the Airwaves Live 1980 Radio Broadcast CD/Vinyl Coming in March

Back in 1980, during their Permanent Waves tour, Rush played three consecutive nights at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri from February 11th through the 13th. A fairly well-known bootleg from a live radio broadcast recording of one of those three performances has been around for quite some time. Now that live radio broadcast recording will be repackaged and released as a CD or Vinyl in Europe this March. It will be available in the US and Canada as an import item and can be pre-ordered HERE . UK residents can pre-order the album via this LINK . 2014 NAMM Show Premieres New Alex Lifeson Guitar and Neil Peart Snare Drum

The Winter 2014 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show is currently taking place in Anaheim, California. Easily the most important event in the music-making industry calendar, the NAMM show brings together all of the major hardware and software manufacturers and a host of celebrities for an industry-only convention. Rush is well represented at this year's show as both Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart have showcased items on hand. For Alex, he worked with PRS Guitars to develop a new Private Stock Alex Lifeson Thinline acoustic guitar. From the press release : “During the 2013 Rush Clockwork Angels Tour, I had the opportunity to spend some time with a PRS Angelus Cutaway. Recently, both Neil Peart and Kevin J. Anderson sat down with PREVIEWSworld.com to discuss the upcoming graphic novel adaptation of Clockwork Angels . In the interview, the first drawing of The Anarchist character is revealed. Neil comments on the early sketches thus far, that are being manned by graphic artist Nick Robles: Neil Peart: Nick has some big challenges ahead of him — while for Kevin and me, this graphic series is a huge and exciting step toward a fully-realized world of our own invention. Also, having been highly impressed by Nick’s early sketches of characters and settings, I will be looking forward to seeing his visions of the grander backgrounds, like Crown City, the Carnival, and the Wreckers. "Love Me Some Rush" - Sensual Rush Inspired Photography

Photographer and Rush fan Lance Hardy recently posted a segment to his blog titled Love Me Some Rush . The entry discusses his life-long appreciation of Rush's music and how it has been a positive influence on his life. To celebrate that fact, Lance took a series of photographs of various Rush album artwork that were projected on a nude model. From the entry: "There are momentous times in your life that you never forget. New Interview with Kevin J. Anderson on the Graphic Novel Adaptation of Clockwork Angels

A new interview with Kevin J. Anderson regarding the graphic novel adaptation of Clockwork Angels was posted at the Huffington Post today. The interview/article reveals how the idea of the graphic novel came to be and also includes some new, preliminary artwork. From the inteview: "The Clockwork Angels world is so vivid and fantastical it seemed obvious to me from the outset that it would translate well to the comics medium," says Anderson. He is best known for his epic science fiction novels in the Dune and Star Wars universes, as well as his Saga of Seven Suns series and, in a lighter vein, his Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. novels. Anderson and his wife Rebecca Moesta are the publishers of WordFire Press, the company handles the eBook version of Clockwork Angels. He has scripted numerous comics, including Star Wars, Justice Society, Predator, X-Files, Star Trek, and original works.
