Masters of Resonance - The Making of Neil Peart's R40 Drum Kit Documentary Trailer Now Online

Masters of Resonance - The Making of Neil Peart's R40 Drum Kit Documentary Trailer Now OnlineBack in November of 2016, Edge Factor, Inc. released a teaser trailer for a "music film" called Masters of Resonance; a documentary about the making of Neil Peart's famed R40 Drum kits.

As was revealed back in 2015, both of Neil's R40 drum kits, which were manufactured by DW Drums, were made from a single salvaged log. The log, which was obtained from Romania near the Carpathian Mountains, was estimated to have been submerged in a river near the mountains for 500 years, with the total age of the log estimated at 1,500 years.

Masters of Resonance explores the entire process of developing Neil's kit, from the salvaging of the logs, to the intricate manufacturing process behind each shell, as well as how each individual Rush logo that appears on each drum shell was created.

Today, at long last, the full trailer for the documentary has been released. You can view it directly at this LINK or via the embedded viewer below.

The film will be first screened at the Rush Family Reunion Event in Toronto on June 22nd. The film will then be hitting the International Film Festival circuit over the Spring and Summer. Finally, it will be rolled out on Video on Demand channels in the Fall. Screening locations and official release dates will be announced on mastersofresonance.com.
