  1. I see no reason to rebuy DVDs I already own, just to get a bonus disc that the band and their management know we hardcore fans really want. Don't treat your fans this way! Release the bonus disc separately. Forcing us to rebuy this stuff is wrong. The casual fan who might be interested in a set like this won't care about the extra stuff anyway. So I think they will lose money on this set. I certainly will not be purchasing it, and I have contacted SRO/Anthem and voiced my concerns as well.

    1. I totally agree. I just want Rio on blu ray and the binus disk. I already own the other concerts on blu ray.

    2. Right there with you! I already own most of this. Geddy, Alex and Neil probably don't approve of this but the profits are on managements wall!

    3. If you were the artist you would probably feel a bit different about it.

  2. I only wish they had a Hemispheres show int heir vault, that would be the holy grail. With so many leaked venue-shot videos making into bootleg trading circles from the Capitol Theater in Passaic and the Capitol Centre in Landover in the late 70's, you can only hope one exists. I'd settle for an AFTK or PW show too.

    1. There was a rumour years ago in the early days of TNMS (meaning completely unconfirmed) that a UK fan with employment ties to the Hammersmith Odeon snuck in two 8mm color film cameras the day before their Hemispheres show, and hid them in the venue. Both were used from opposite ends of the balcony (left, right). Since hearing that rumour, the film(s) have never shown up, nor has it ever been mentioned in any forum.

I was hesitant to even mention it...but it is indeed the free-spirited fans that bring us these gems. I hope it turns out to be true, and the film exists...but it has been 36 years, and film degrades with the passage of time, if not stored properly.

  3. I only own R30 and S&A Live already, so this won't that bad of a double-dip for me. Nice to see Rush in Rio getting on blu-ray.
