Canada 150: A Celebration of Music Box Set to Include Two Rush Songs

Canada 150: A Celebration of Music Box Set to Include Two Rush SongsUniversal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, has just announced the June 30th release of Canada 150: A Celebration Of Music. Issued on the eve of Canada’s sesquicentennial (150th birthday), the collection will be available digitally, in single CD, 2CD, and Super Deluxe 6CD Coffee Table Book editions.

Among the 150 songs selected for the compilation will be two tracks from Rush - Lakeside Park from the band's Caress of Steel album, and Tom Sawyer from Moving Pictures. More from the announcement:
“Assembling a package that sums up Canada’s 150 years would be impossible. A country as vast and diverse as ours, with rich histories from countless perspectives could not be contained in one place. But I believe it can be visited – and contemplated by viewing through the lens of the many thoughts expressed here in picture, story, and song,” says Jeffrey Remedios, President & CEO of UMC. “Hopefully, this one-of-a-kind odyssey across our country goes some way to answering the question of ‘how does a nation sing happy birthday to itself?’”
