A Trio of New Rush Books Now Available

Rush: Song by SongWith the holiday season just around the corner (seriously?!), it's time to start thinking about picking up just the right gift for that Rush fan in your life - even if that Rush fan is you! Last week we announced some upcoming vinyl releases of My Favorite Headache and the live offering Clockwork Angels Tour.

But if vinyl isn't your thing, perhaps a new Rush-related book is. In fact there are three new Rush books that have been released that might pique your interest.

The first book - Rush: Song by Song comes from author Alex E. Body. In this unique book the reader is guided through each album, song by song, from the band's eponymous debut in 1974 right up to 2012's Clockwork Angels.

The Rush Coloring Book - Revised for 2019Every album (both live and studio) is explored in detail with rare insight into the circumstances in which the band wrote and recorded each song. The book also carefully tracks the band's rise from a small suburb of Toronto to the arena filling giants they would become.

More information, ordering links, and a preview of the book, which includes the entire first chapter on the aforementioned debut album, is available via this LINK.

The next available book is an expanded edition of Fantoons The Rush Coloring Book. Originally published in 2016, the newly updated edition now includes 72 pages of rocking illustrations ready to be colored by die-hard Rush fans and newcomers alike. Some examples of the artwork from this book, as well as ordering links, are available HERE.

The Making of A Farewell to Kings: The Graphic NovelFinally we come to one of the most highly anticipated Rush releases of 2019 -- The Making of A Farewell to Kings: The Graphic Novel, which also comes to us from Fantoons. The graphic novel will officially be released on September 10th, however I was provided an early copy of the book so that I could review it.

It is a gorgeously bound, over-sized coffee table book that is lavishly illustrated and cleverly written. My full review of the book, which includes some sample artwork, is available via this LINK.

An preview of the book, which contains additional sample artwork, an excerpt of the Foreword written by Terry Brown, ordering links, and more can be found HERE.

Specials thanks go out to David Calcano of Fantoons for his continual support and shout-outs of this website, and for providing me an early look at his fantastic work.
