Rush Announce Upcoming Vinyl Releases of Clockwork Angels Tour, My Favorite Headache, and Permanent WavesRush Announce Upcoming Vinyl Releases of Clockwork Angels Tour, My Favorite Headache, and Permanent WavesDuring the world premiere of last night's Cinema Strangiato, Rush announced several exciting upcoming vinyl releases.

Up first is the five-disc release of the Clockwork Angels Tour, which is scheduled for release on October 11th. From the announcement:
Live 5LP set from the Clockwork Angels Tour, pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and includes an etching on the flipside of the final album. The set comes packaged in a two-piece telescopic box with a full-color booklet, and a code to download a high-definition digital version of the album. The band recorded concerts in 2012 in Phoenix, Dallas and San Antonio for a live album, and this set includes all 31 tracks from those recordings. This vinyl set also features the bonus tracks from the original CD release, including a version of the classic “Limelight” that the band recorded during soundcheck.
You can pre-order this release via Amazon or select different package options via the Rush Backstage Club.

Another exciting and frankly unexpected announcement centered around the upcoming holiday release of Geddy Lee's solo album My Favorite Headache on vinyl. Aside from the image that was shown during the Cinema Strangiato previews, little is known about this release at this time. We'll bring you more info once it becomes available.

Finally, and not entirely surprising, was the announcement that a 40th Anniversary Edition of Permanent Waves would be released some time in 2020. This release will likely follow in the footsteps of the 40th Anniversary box set releases of Rush's debut album, 2112, A Farewell to Kings, and Hemispheres. More information on this release will likely be made available later next year.

We'll have more information on each of these releases as it becomes available.
