After years of eligibility - and exclusion, years of fans crying foul in the shadow of the infamous Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Rush has persevered with grace. And now, finally, the stage is set for Rush to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Today marks yet another milestone in Rush's long and storied career. The band that needs no introduction or additional recognition by its legion of fans is now in the world spotlight - and deservedly so. The often controversial yet still popular Rock & Roll Hall of Fame does do one thing right - and that is highlight the skills of its inductees.
The Nokia Center in Los Angeles where the ceremonies will take place tonight is sure to rock like never before, and I dare say that this may be the most exciting and closely-followed induction ceremony of the Hall's existence.
Make way, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - Rush is about to enter the building! Congratulations to Geddy, Alex and Neil - as well as their management, crew (and John Rutsey) for this very deserving honor. Well done, all!
